The archaeological site has several pyramids, two of which are the oldest, largest and best preserved in Egypt, the Rhomboidal or Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid, both from the IV Dynasty, ordered to be built by the father of Pharaoh Cheops, Esnofru.<\/p>\n<p>The shape of the Bent Pyramid is not known if it was due to a construction error that made them go from an inclination of 60 degrees to 43 degrees from 47 meters high or it was done intentionally.
