Amman / Jerash / Ajloun / Amman
Breakfast. Panoramic tour of the city of Amman where we can see its most important avenues, the urban center, the Citadel and the Roman Theater. Next we will go to the city of Jerash which is about 45 km north of Amman, about an hour by road. It is considered one of the places with the most Roman remains and best preserved outside of Italy. During the excursion we will visit the Arc de Triomphe, the Oval Square, the Cardo, the Colonnade, the Temple of Aphrodite and we will finish with the Roman Theater, which has wonderful acoustics. About 15 km from Jerash is Ajlun Castle, a fortress built in 1185 and rebuilt later in the 13th century by the Mamluks after its destruction by the Mongols. It is a castle from the time of the Crusaders, located on top of the mountain and from which there is a beautiful view. At the end of the visit, return to Amman. Dinner and Accommodation.
Amman / Desert Castles / Dead Sea / Amman
Breakfast. Departure to the east of the city to visit one of the most representative called Desert Castles (Harranah, Amra and Azraq). These castles are constructions from the 7th to the 11th centuries, some of which were used as caravanserais, others as rest pavilions and some of them as military forts to defend their territories. Next we will visit the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth, located 400 meters below sea level. Whoever wishes can bathe. Return to Amman. Dinner and Accommodation.
Amman / Madaba / Mount Nebo / Shobak Castle / Petra
Breakfast. Departure to visit the Orthodox Church of Saint George where the first map-mosaic of Palestine is found. Continue to Mount Nebo to have a panoramic view of the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea from the mountain. This place is important because it was the last one visited by Moses and from where the prophet saw the promised land, which he would never reach. Then we will go to contemplate a panoramic view of the Shobak castle, a lonely reminder of the former glory of the Crusaders, built in the year 1115 by King Baudouin as a defense of the road between Damascus and Egypt. The Castle is located less than an hour north of Petra and was originally called «Mont Real or Mons Regalis»; It is located on the side of a mountain, on a wide area of fruit trees. Petra
Breakfast. Full day dedicated to the visit of the Pink City, the capital of the Nabateans. During the visit, we will get to know the most important and representative monuments carved in the rock by the Nabateans: The Treasury, a famous and internationally known monument made into a movie in one of the Indiana Jones movies, the Colored Tombs, the Royal Tombs, etc. Petra is one of those places in the world where you have to go at least once in your life. At the end of the visit, in the afternoon, return to the hotel. Dinner and Accommodation.
Petra / Little Petra / Wadi Rum / Amman
Breakfast. Departure to what is known as «La Pequeña Petra» (Little Petra), just 15 km away. north of Petra; a gorge of barely 2 m. wide with its typical Nabatean architecture makes this visit unique and incomparable. It was inhabited by the Nabataeans and preserves many tombs, waterways, and a small path leading to the inner area, Siq Al Bared, the scale of this area giving it the name of Little Petra. Departure to Wadi Rum, the Lawrence of Arabia desert, also known as «The Valley of the Moon» in 4×4 vehicles driven by Bedouins. For two hours you can enjoy the beautiful lunar landscape of this desert, we will enter its pink sands and see which has a special charm provided by the granite massifs that nature has modeled with whimsical shapes.
